Really lovely Italian restaurant love the dessert plum tart with gelato. Be careful with the cheese if you normally eat lactose free, they are quite generous about the cheese in each dish.

The unassuming facade on McDonald St belies the charming and intimate dining vibe at Buca Di Roma. Warm and welcoming hospitality from the hosts is matched by the exquisite flavors on the plates they serve. A real treat for this neighborhood. A must-try if you are looking for Italian food in the Kitsilano area.

Best Italian food in the city. Everything is seasoned and prepared to perfection. Smaller restaurant which reminds us of finding that hidden gem in Italy. Highly recommend

This restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet residential area. If you love Italian food, fresh produce and a cosy atmosphere- this is the spot. We tried: - Rigatoni vaccinara - delicious pasta with oxtail, cacao (yes cacao) and pine nuts. You’d never think these flavors work but it’s honestly so tasty. - Gnocchi salsiccia - with fennel sausage. Listen, I usually dont care for gnocchi, but thissss .. so buttery and smooth. Apparently they only do it seasonal when potatoes are good. - And save the best for last because the tiramisu is incredible! It has an amazing almost floral? aftertaste . So good! Don’t miss it. - Chocolate pudding. So rich with nuts and dark chocolate flavor. The service is friendly and its a nice cozy atmosphere for a date spot. Highly recommend

fantastic food. tonnarelli nero and the chicken ragu were both excellent. tonnarelli was top 3 best pastas i've had for sure. meyer lemon tart was the cherry on top, also best lemon tart i've had too! so so good. tried to love the tiramisu but the brandy or rum was way too strong. borderline unenjoyable by the end but otherwise agreat meal. food came out a bit slow near close albeit but service was still good. a definite comeback!

The food was amazing! I am gluten free and they were accommodating. The gentleman serving us was amazing made sure I didn’t eat the food that had gluten in it. He made sure I had enough to eat! Awesome restaurant! I would totally go again. Thank you for an amazing meal!

Really enjoyed our gals dinner at this quaint. lovely Italian restaurant. Our server was excellent, very helpful with the wine selection and menu options. Meatballs with whipped ricotta and the Octopus were delicious appetizers as was the rest of our meals. Will definitely be back!
